   Description

Screw-in insert tapping clamp under pressure Pressure tapping clamp for PE pipe from 40mm

The screw-in insert for a pressure tapping clamp makes it possible to quickly and easily create an outlet at any point on the PE or PVC pipe without the line or system having to be depressurized.

The line does not have to be cut. You attach the tapping clamp - supported by our download "Attaching a tapping clamp" - to the desired location and, in conjunction with the insert for a pressure tapping clamp, you can create the desired line outlet without having to depressurize the line. Likewise, your system can continue to run without interruption during the connection work.

Connection:
External thread (tapping clamp) x clamp
Thread:
BSP pipe thread G, not self-sealing, seal with Teflon tape or similar.
Temperature:
0°C to 80°C
Working pressure (PN):
16 bar at 20°C in conjunction with tapping sleeve with metal reinforcing ring
Material:
PP polypropylene
Seal:
NBR
Bolt:
Stainless steel or galvanized steel
Color:
Black
Contents:
Insert as shown in the figure – a tapping sleeve is not included in the scope of delivery
Important: When using a small tapping clamp, such as a size 32mm, the drill bit will touch or even damage the sealing O-ring on the PE pipe. Installation is possible for those with technical skills, otherwise use only from 63mm!

Installation instructions

  • After attaching the tapping sleeve, screw the insert with seal into the tapping sleeve.
  • Lay the rest of the pipe, ensuring a tight seal.
  • Loosen the upper sealing cap and insert the Allen key into the designated seat of the drill.
  • tighten the drill until the blade has completely cut through the pipe wall. This is indicated by a small amount of water leaking out and/or by a reduction in the screw-on resistance.
  • Loosen the drill bit and screw it back to the upper limit of the thread - but not beyond - (the cut-out part of the pipe will remain stuck in the drill bit).
  • Close the sealing cap tightly.
