Advantage of glycerine filling

Filling with glycerine is ideal for high, dynamic shock and vibration loads. The liquid has a damping effect and relieves the mechanical components of the manometer. It also immobilizes the pointer at high vibration loads. A glycerine-water mixture is suitable for most applications and ambient temperatures. It is particularly ideal for low pressure ranges, as the low density of the glycerine-water mixture hardly creates any resistance for the measuring element. The manometer housing is not completely filled, as the glycerine-water mixture absorbs additional water depending on the humidity and ambient temperature and expands accordingly.

Shortcuts

  • no pointer flutter
  • no damage to the mechanism
  • no fogging of the viewing window
  • The mechanism is always immersed in a protective and lubricating liquid

Pressure gauge V2A stainless steel with glycerine filling, size 4", connection stainless steel V2A external thread radial 1/2",

Our high-quality quality manometer with V2A stainless steel case and glycerine filling as a 4-inch variant for applications where the display should be constantly in view and easy to read due to its size. The external thread connection is made of V2A stainless steel and is used where brass is not desired or cannot be used.
The connection - 1/2" BSP G threaded connection - made of V2A stainless steel, points radially downwards. The manometer is filled to approx. 80 - 90% with glycerine, so that the mixture can expand when the temperature fluctuates. The glycerine filling allows the needle to stand still, which is extremely advantageous in the event of vibrations and frequent pressure changes. A maximum deflection of the needle - occurring pressure peaks or shocks - is slowed down, so that in the case of pressure gauges, the glycerine filling prevents possible damage to the Bourdon tube mechanism and thus counteracts material fatigue and malfunction. The rubber nipple used is cut or clipped off so that pressure equalization takes place.
The high accuracy class of 1.6 (max. 1.6% deviation from the measured value) enables an exact reproduction of the prevailing pressure value. In tough applications, possibly in a humid environment, with oily or corrosive media, the case of the manometer made of V2A stainless steel is the better choice than a conventional steel case.
Manometers are also referred to as pressure gauges and are used to measure the pressure in liquids and gases. On the one hand, they indicate whether the desired pressure is reached or the display warns of a possible overpressure, which could lead to damage to system components.
