PoolFlex connectors are used to connect PVC-U flexible hose Poolflex , where the external diameter is the determining factor, to the pipe system by means of an adhesive connection or to a threaded connection via an external or internal thread.
Pool flex hose is also referred to as a flexible pipe. Since the external diameter is identical to PVC pipes, a flex hose with a corresponding external diameter can be clamped on one side with a transition compression fitting on a glue socket, and on the other side, a PVC-U pipe with an identical external diameter can be glued into the socket.
Quality of the PoolFlex clamp coupling
Our clamp couplings for PVC-U Poolflex adhesive hose consist of two components in the version with adhesive connection. The clamping area is made of polypropylene (PP) and is therefore much more robust, valuable and durable than comparable FlexFit clamp fittings made entirely of PVC-U:
- no bursting of the cap nut if it falls to the ground
- no repeated tightening due to temperature fluctuations
- high quality and performance standard, as PE couplings are designed for at least 16 bar (external thread max. 10 bar, reinforced internal thread max. 16 bar)
Properties of PoolFlex clamp couplings
The clamp fitting itself is made of polypropylene (PP), the O-ring of EPDM and the white clamping ring of high-strength POM. This combination creates a high level of grip on the flexible glass fiber hose, ensuring that the clamp connection is rock solid.
Use and principle of the PoolFlex clamp coupling
The PoolFlex clamp coupling can be used with both PVC-U flexible hose, adhesive hose Poolflex as well as withPE pipe
. The PoolFlex connection fittings thus enable a transition from a PVC-U pipe or PVC-U fitting for glueing or to a PE pipe for a double clamp or to a threaded connection for a male or female threaded connection.

PoolFlex clamp coupling with threaded connection
The common thread type in the plumbing industry is the BSP G thread (Whitworth pipe thread) - also known as the "gas thread". Thus, in theory, all threaded PoolFlex clamp fittings are compatible with threaded fittings made of other materials, such as brass, stainless steel, PVC-U or polypropylene (PP). Threads of this type are not self-sealing and require a suitable thread sealant such as Teflon tape.
