Application:

Important: hanging check valve without spring, to be mounted between flange bushings. The check valve without spring can only be mounted horizontally with a volume flow from bottom to top, since the freely hanging valve is closed by gravity. Free-hanging valves are characterized by a very low opening pressure. Since, due to the design, there are no internal components in the volume flow, a much more even flow is possible. This also means that a non-return valve can be used for liquids with fibers or other solids.


Important: The minimum distance to the pump should not be less than 5 times the pipe diameter (e.g. pipe Ø 110mm = min. distance to pump 550mm). No installation directly in front of angles, bends or branches.
A differential pressure of at least 0.1 - 0.3 bar (water column 1m - 3m) is required for tightly closing free-hanging non-return valves.


Note: The swing check valve is the best principle for stopping flow.
The limitation lies in the fact that the flap mechanism is installed in the flow area and thus the free flow (C) is severely restricted. This can be avoided by choosing a larger variant and working with a short section of the larger pipe diameter in each of the flanges, which then also have to be larger.
Please note: if reducers are glued directly into the larger collar sleeves, the flap will hit them and the intended positive effect of a larger opening angle will not be achieved.
