Do you have two pipes with different diameters that you want to connect straight? You need a PVC-U glue socket. PVC-U sockets in all their designs connect PVC pipes, PVC pipelines or enable the connection of further fittings or the connection to valves.
PVC-U glue sockets are used to connect PVC-U pipes. PVC pipes in original lengths are already molded with a socket from size 20mm. However, if you want to connect shorter lengths, you will need a PVC-U glue socket. The pipe (male) is glued into the adhesive socket (female). The adhesive socket has an adhesive side on both sides, which is separated by an internal, central web. A pipe can be glued on both sides.

Are fitted with an internal thread on one or both sides. PVC-U threaded couplers with an internal thread on one side are fitted with a thread of approximately the same size as the glued coupler in the standard form.

- 20mm glue socket - 1/2 inch internal thread or also 0.5 inch
- 25mm adhesive sleeve – 3/4" female thread or 0.75"

Threaded sleeve with single-sided internal thread with reinforcing ring
A steel reinforcement ring prevents mechanical tension. This increases the quality of the connection, allowing the thread to withstand higher pressure and making it less susceptible to workmanship errors.

The stainless steel ring compensates for the pressure acting on the thread and prevents damage or cracking of the threaded socket. The threaded socket reinforced with a stainless steel ring can be used for higher pressure levels up to max. 16 bar.

This PVC-U fitting has a single threaded brass female thread and is ideal for connecting to a brass or metal thread.
Internal thread brass insert
PVC-U elbow 90°, one-sided with cast brass thread. The metal thread allows the transition to a metal pipe or the connection of a fitting with a metal thread (e.g. faucet).
Do not use hemp or similar to seal the connection – the expansion of the brass ring can cause damage to the PVC-U fitting!
Threaded sockets on both sides
In rare cases, you may need to connect two external threads to two nipples. This is also possible with a threaded sleeve with internal threads on both sides. A threaded connection can also be secured retrospectively by securing it with a hose clamp, for example, to protect against pressure or damage or bursting. Not the most elegant solution, but effective and fit for purpose!

Secure your threaded connection afterwards with a hose clamp to prevent damage or bursting of the threaded sleeve under lateral tension or pressure.
Nipples, double nipples, pipe sections with nipple external thread

Use Teflon tape or Teflon thread to connect the external thread to a plastic internal thread.
The common thread type in the plumbing industry is the BSP G thread (Whitworth pipe thread). Thus, all PVC-U threaded fittings are theoretically compatible with threaded fittings made of other materials such as brass, stainless steel or polypropylene (PP).
Threads of this type are not self-sealing and require a suitable thread sealant such as Teflon tape.
Avoid changing to other materials. Use transition fittings that allow a transition to metal.
